On 24 February, one year passed since the official start of the war in Ukraine. Since then, many people have had to leave the country and leave their lives behind.
Even though a lot could be mobilized quickly with many people welcomed with relatively open arms, the dark side of the supposed welcome culture became visible again.
We are a group of so-called third-country nationals from Ukraine and solidarity supporters. Instead of security, opportunities and fast procedures as the case should be, we have been experiencing unequal treatment and racist discrimination from authorities and society for a year now.
The rally is organized by a collective of the Legal Café Stuttgart and Lemonade Stuttgart. We stand in solidarity with everyone who are fleeing and have fled war, conflicts, persecution, poverty and natural disasters, as well as everyone experiencing any form of discrimination by the authorities and society.
